Hydraulic breakdowns and fault finding
We understand the impact production downtime has on your business and can provide a quick response to hydraulic breakdowns. Not only will we get you back up and running quickly, but we’ll also offer our advice on system improvements to prevent future downtime and give you peace of mind.
Specialists in hydraulic fault finding, we’ll carry out system monitoring and diagnostic work to identify and repair any faults within your hydraulic system - whether it’s an issue with fluid contamination, overheating or incorrect valve/pump settings.

Planned preventative maintenance
Carrying out regular preventative maintenance is essential in ensuring your hydraulic systems are operating at optimal efficiency. At Garleigh Engineering, we can provide you with planned preventative maintenance, which involves regular site visits to monitor and maintain hydraulic parameters.
We’ll check actuator speed, fluid flow, cycle times, optimum pressures and carry out visual inspections and oil analysis. Following each visit, we’ll provide you with a full maintenance report and recommended improvements to keep your machines in production and avoid any unplanned downtime.

Hydraulic system upgrades
With the right servicing and maintenance, ageing hydraulic systems can still operate adequately. But with new technology and components now available, upgrading your hydraulic system will enhance performance, reduce maintenance costs and improve safety levels.
We can carry out hydraulic system upgrades for you, installing industry compliant electrically monitored safety valves, improving filtration and system cooling, reducing energy costs and replacing obsolete equipment.
Hydraulic design and commissioning
At Garleigh Engineering, we’re experienced in the design and build of bespoke hydraulic systems. Whether you require a new hydraulic power unit, a complete hydraulic system designed from the ground up or need existing designs updated, we can help.
Our focus is on developing highly efficient hydraulic systems that reduce your operating costs and improve profitability with increased uptime.
We’ll create and supply accurate drawings, ensuring we meet your design specifications and the final build exceeds your expectations. Once complete, we can also provide on-site assistance with testing and commissioning your new power unit or hydraulic system.

Project management
Need assistance with larger hydraulic projects? We can take ownership of project management and associated documentation, including third party compliance, risk assessments and method statements, test procedures and compiling FAT documentation.
We’ll take a hands-on approach at every stage of your project. From initial design and specification to overseeing work carried out on-site, factory acceptance testing and final project handover, you can rely on us to manage your project from concept to completion.

Hydraulic components
As well as being able to repair hydraulic components, we can also source and supply hydraulic pumps, valves and actuators - either as replacement parts or for new applications.
If you’re dealing with an application where space is limited, we’re also able to design bespoke space-saving hydraulic valve manifolds and 12/24V mini power packs for vehicle applications.

Hazardous area applications
We can supply valves and pumps suitable for use in potentially Hazardous Areas, with ATEX, IECEx, EAC, PESO & cULus certification. Available as Explosion Proof or Intrinsically Safe. Contact us for more information about our hydraulic services for hazardous area applications.
